I am an extragalactic astrophysics researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation (ICG, 2025-present) at the University of Portsmouth. My work focuses on the interplay between star formation, quenching mechanisms, and the role of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) across diverse environments—from jellyfish galaxies to relic systems.

My current research addresses a critical gap in galaxy evolution: refining Stellar Population (SP) models in the Near-Infrared (NIR). As current models struggle to reproduce spectral features in this range, my work is essential for interpreting data from the next generation of observatories, including JWST, ELT, and GMT.

Prior to Portsmouth, I held postdoctoral positions at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO, 2021-2025) and the Laboratório Nacional de Astrofísica (LNA, 2019-2021). I earned my Ph.D. from UFRGS, an M.Sc. from UNIFEI/LNA, and a B.Sc. in Physics from UEMS.
